Klaus Kinski is seen driving a Rolls
Royce (Bentley?) wearing a black suit, black
hat and black gloves and we're then thrown into the middle of a bank
robbery.
The robbers manages to getaway and in the van the criminals have flashbacks,
as
Bruno (Franco Citti) that feels looked down upon, a peasant coming from
the south
of Italy. Also Franco and Rino (Maurice Poli) have flashbacks.
Klaus Kinski plays Reniet AKA Quintero, a man with his own plan for
the loot.
When there's bickering about how to divide the bank
money, Quintero starts wiping
out the robber gang and Rino starts in turn chasing Quintero. The shoot-out
scene
was suspenseful and pretty good taking place in the Genua harbour.
Rino's/Poli's girlfriend in the film, Mayde, is played by Susy Andersen.
This film may be very obscure (i had never ever heard
about it) and it was a trashy
but pretty entertaining Eurocrime with gangsters vs. gangster. Poli
is always good.
B level Eurocrime with a soundtrack by Piero Umiliani. The picture quality
wasn't
very good. Presented in widescreen 2.20:1 and english audio DD 2.0.
