Deadly Games (1980)

US Arrow Video 2022 Blu-ray edition - region all

Unusual and atrocious B grade Slasher with painfully cringy dialogue and acting, and direction too. Yes, baaad, but as i'm
a sick puppy i was entertained anyway. Hey, it's a 1980 slasher (the heyday of the genre) and Steve Railsback is in it. It was
so bad it could well be a joke, a horror satire perhaps, maybe ? No ?

The intro and the first murder scene: A woman drives up to an isolated house, she smiles strangely, or idiotically, and starts
to undress in the moonlight (the director seemed obsessed with using the moonlight as the only light source in scenes, and,
well, that's somewhat interesting, i'll give him that) and showing her boobs (to fill the boob quota). A man enters her garage
and threatens to kill her, is she afraid? No, does she think it's her boyfriend playing a game ? No, she's a bad actress and she
dies, but she did show us her boobs. Thanks to Alexandra Morgan and her spectacular body playing the role of Linda.

Above: Reversible sleeve

Roger (Sam Groom) is the investigating cop and Keegan (Jo Ann Harris) is a reporter and step-sister of murdered Linda.
Billy Owens (Steve "Life Force" Railsback) is an astmathic ex-soldier and weirdo who is a projectionist showing old horror
movies in a Cinema, and he lives in the basement. Roger is his old army buddy, and the killings goes on in the small town.
The ending .... WTF, the director must be laughing at us, it's a joke for sure, it must be ?
This could well be the worst horror i've ever seen, the dialogue (at the Diner), the acting, the script, the direction.
Hey, my apologies to actress Alexandra Morgan, your boobs in the moonlight was the highlight of the film. Sorry.
