Direction, co-story and co-script by Lucio Fulci. Soundtrack by Fabio Frizzi

Atmospherical Gothic living dead horror beautyfully shot by Sergio Salvati
and with great effects created by Gino De Rossi and Franco Rufini.
The Drilling scene where Giovanni Lombardo Radice AKA John Morgen's
town weirdo Bob is killed has rightfully become famous (or infamous).
The Buried alive scene at the beginning with Psychic Mary (Catriona
MacColl) scared the shit out of me.

The film takes place in Dunwich, the nowadays town once named Salem
where the villagers were witch burners. In Dunwich strange and scary things
have started to happen since Father Thomas, the priest, hanged himself and
opened the Gates of Hell.

Journalist Peter Bell (Christopher George) investigates the mysterial death of
Mary and saves her from being buried alive in her coffin, as she's not dead at
all. She and Peter goes to Dunwich to stop evil and to close the Gate of Hell
before Evil takes over, and this have to be done before All Saints Day.
They have 2 Days. Soon they're a group of four, Peter, Mary, Psychiatrist
Gerry (Carlo De Mejo and painter artist Sandra (Janet Ågren).

Lucio Fulci can be seen in a cameo as Coroner Joe.

Film presented in 1.85:1 ratio and with english or italian audio DTS-HD MA
2.0 mono with english subtitles.
